Layered Biscuits and Gravy Casserole

  • 16 oz refrigerated biscuit, 1 tube

  • 6 eggs

  • ½ cup milk

  • ½ teaspoon pepper

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 2 cup shredded cheese


  • 4 tablespoons butter

  • 6 tablespoons flour

  • salt, to taste

  • pepper, to taste

  • 2 cups milk


  1. Cut each biscuit into 8 pieces. Set aside.

  2. In a bowl, mix the eggs, milk, pepper, and salt. Set aside.

  3. For the gravy: melt the butter in a saucepan, over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper, and slowly add the 2 cups of milk.

  4. Increase to medium-high, bring to a simmer, stirring until gravy is thickened.

  5. In a greased 8x6 glass baking dish (small to medium sized), layer the biscuits, cheese, egg mixture, and gravy then repeat steps for the additional layer.

  6. Bake at 350°F for 55 min, until the eggs on the bottom are cooked and the biscuits are no longer doughy.
