2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 slices of multi-grain bread
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons of organic powdered sugar
FOR THE CREAM CHEESE GLAZE
2 tablespoons cream cheese, at room temperature
1/4 cup organic sugar
2 tablespoons lactose free milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
FOR THE CINNAMON SUGAR
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons of light brown sugar
2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
To make the cream cheese glaze, combine cream cheese, organic sugar, milk and vanilla mix and set aside. You can put glaze in a piping bag when you are ready to use.
To make the cinnamon sugar, combine sugar, brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside for when you are ready to use.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla. Dip bread slices into the egg mixture.
Working in batches, add bread slices to the skillet, 1-2 at a time, and cook until evenly golden brown, about 1-2 minutes on each side.
When golden brown coat each bread slice with the cinnamon sugar on each side.
Put cream cheese glaze in piping and drizzle on top of your churro French Toast.
Last step is sprinkle some powdered sugar for some extra love!
Serve immediately and ENJOY!!
